MCA Architects was commissioned by the University of New England for the establishment of a new campus on Church Street in Parramatta.
The goal was to create a new high-tech central hub for the large number of correspondence students in Western Sydney.
The new high tech facility included multiple collaborative meeting and learning spaces, a large Lecture Hall, Cafe, Vice-Chancellor and Executive Offices, numerous Video conferencing facilities and rooms, and a Cisco Telepresence room for high-quality long distance learning and interaction with Armidale Campus.
The campus included the refurbishment, rectification and extension to the old Parramatta Post Office - a locally listed Heritage Item, and the upper levels of an Office block on the opposite side of Church Street.
