Ambling up the cliff face in Chatswood West, this recently completed home for a growing family took advantage of the stunning views overlooking the Lane Cove River tidal flats.
Preserving a portion of the original home, MCA Architects designed a total refurb of both floors, plus a major extension to the front of the property, raising the garage above flood levels, and providing a grand entry stair with lift for the groceries and luggage. A new comfortable outdoor entertaining space with pool for the kids were built above the garage.

The original basement floor of the home was gutted and extended to create a new main living floor with dining, kitchen, family space and large glazed bifolds to the outdoor entertaining and BBQ areas.
The upper floor bedrooms and bathrooms were extensively refurbished with new skylight punctuating additional natural daylight through.
The new parents retreat is accessed via a walk-in-robe and connects through to a large his-and-her ensuite and private balcony.
Extending further up the hill, the extensive civil and landscaping works created new grassed play areas for the kids for many years to come.
